Our spiritual preparation for the High Holy Days begins with a book group for Nefesh Kin to explore the book THIS IS REAL AND YOU ARE COMPLETELY UNPREPARED by Rabbi Alan Lew. The text moves you through the spiritual depth of this time week by week. The discussion group is open to Kin only and will be led by Ashley Ross and Robin Neuwirth-Bishop. Meetings will take place Sunday mornings on Zoom and in person/hybrid after Saturday morning Shabbat services, throughout the duration of the High Holy Days: July 28, Zoom, 10:30-12pm | Chapters 1 – 3: Tisha B’Av August 10, Zoom and in person @ St Paul's Commons, 1-2:30pm| Chapters 4 – 5: Month of Elul and Selichot August 25, Zoom, 10:30-12 | Chapters 6 – 7: Rosh Hashanah and Teshuvah September 14, Zoom and in person @ St. Paul's Commons, 1-2:30pm| Chapter 8: Yom Kippur – Kol Nidre September 29, Zoom, 10:30-12 | Chapters 9- 10: Yom Kippur – Atone and Ne’ilah October 13, Zoom, 10:30-12 | Epilogue: Sukkot and moving forward There's no fee for participation, but we welcome you to make a donation when you sign up to support Nefesh!
