Immigrant Bail Bond Fundraiser
Solidarity with Immigrant Siblings is Sacred
Nefesh’s Tikkun Collective is supporting our partners at CLUE in providing financial support to secure the release of detained community members from immigration detention. Since Trump’s Department of Homeland Security ICE and Border Patrol officers began raiding Los Angeles in June 2025 our Nefesh community has responded by offering direct aid and protective presence. This campaign is our opportunity as a community to step up with economic assistance to unite families and free innocent people from ICE detention facilities in the Los Angeles area.
Bonds for individuals range from as low $1,500 to above $30,000. The average is $10,000. Families often can not afford these amounts, and lose both their family member and an income earner, leaving them in dire financial situations. Those who can’t pay bond stay incarcerated in abominable conditions. We have seen ICE facilities overrun with bugs, moldy food, poor ventilation, and little to no health care. People have reported abuses so dire that they give up and self-deport.
What your donations can do:
- Offer a detained individual the opportunity to be freed from incarceration
- Bonded individuals can go back to their lives and families while they build a case to gain status.
- People released from detention are more likely to secure an attorney and more likely to win their cases.
- Demonstrate to others what people can do when they come together to raise funds to support members of our community.
One hundred percent of donations go directly to bonds (minus credit card fees if that’s how you choose to give). Even better, after each case is resolved, the bond money is returned to CLUE’s fund. That means your donation will go on helping more detained individuals.
Our Goal: We currently have a donor who is matching all contributions up to $10,000. We are seeking to raise a total of $40,000 by Friday, February 13.
